Welcome . . .

Nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest and bordering the Chattahoochee River, the Waterford Green subdivision, with its rolling hills, is an oasis within Atlanta, Georgia. The neighborhood is within walking distance of the Gold Branch Trail and about a mile away from great parks and safe biking paths.

As important as the magnificent setting, is the school system. Mt. Bethel Elementary, Dickerson Middle School, and Walton High School have been recognized within Georgia and nationally as outstanding schools.

Waterford Green is a community with 152 homes. It has an active community that sports a clubhouse, pavillion, pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and a playground. Of course, like most Atlanta communities, there is a swim team and many ALTA tennis leagues.

Nextdoor Waterford Green Site - It's Official!

Neighbors -- In early 2014, Waterford Green began using a private online network called Nextdoor. The initial pilot of this program has been a resounding success with over 60% of the neighborhood now using the Nextdoor site to share and receive information about various neighborhood-related topics.

As the popularity of Nextdoor across our community continues to rise, there will be a concerted effort to migrate neighborhood communications from the waterfordgreen.net site to the more secure and more functionally-rich Nextdoor Waterford Green site.

If you're a part of our Nextdoor Waterford Green community already, welcome!  If you're not, please join us by clicking on the following link to sign up (LINK) -- You'll be glad you did. There is no cost, and the website is complimented by an app that can be used on your supported smartphone.

If you have any questions whatsoever about how to get started, please feel free to reach out to waterfordgreen30068@gmail.com.  Thanks!

Waterford Green Entrances - Construction Update

Posted: May 20, 2013

TO ALL WATERFORD GREEN RESIDENTS:

I have been asked to notify you of two short-term road closings in Waterford Green.

As a result of the construction at both entrances, our electrical and water lines were cut. This resulted in no entrance lights and no sprinkler system for the grass or flowers.

Possibly as early as next week, each of the entrances will be closed for a few days while the road is cut and new lines are installed across it.  You will need to use the other available entrance during the repair period.

You will be notified in advance of which entrance is the first for repair and the beginning date. Following that, I will again let you know when the second entrance repair will begin.

This project is being planned to cause the least amount of inconvenience to you.

Thank you for your understanding.

Love your yard? Or your yard needing some love?

Atlanta Junior Rowing Association

Learn the Olympic Sport of Rowing!

No experience necessary.

Co-ed camps for ages 12-18 (campers grouped by age, size and skill level).

Summer is the perfect opportunity to come out and give rowing a try! Most of our rowers had never even seen rowing before they came to this camp.

At the Atlanta Junior Rowing Association boathouse, we will offer five 2-week camps with morning or evening sessions this summer. During each two week camp, participants will learn the fundamentals of sweep rowing.

Additionally, each camper learns about the sport, equipment, terminology, and safety of moving boats on and off the water. We begin a basic workout program, and everyone participates in rowing both four- and eight-man shells on the Chattahoochee River.

FOR DATES/TIMES AND TO REGISTER: Go to wwwajra.com

QUESTIONS? Email Jean Veeneman at jmveeneman@bellsouth.net or

LOCATION: Roswell River Landing Boathouse, 245 Azalea Drive,
Roswell 30075

COST: $175 per session

AJRA is a non-profit, parent-driven association dedicated to introducing the Olympic sport of rowing to middle and high school students throughout metro Atlanta.
